We are looking for works that leave an emotional imprint, open up questions and make the gaze pause: projects where the friction is tangible between what is human, lived and vulnerable and what is calculated, predicted and optimized.
The Call4IDEAS is an integral part of Artificial Hub, a project by Stazione E.N. Rogers, with scientific lead Antonella Varesano and coordination by Laura Forcessini.
Artificial Hub was created to address this transformation without blind enthusiasm or ideological rejection, positioning itself as a critical observatory and a space for experimentation.
Each era has redefined the idea of authorship; today, this transformation unfolds through artificial intelligence.
The Call4IDEAS invites artists, designers and creators adult under 35 to engage with AI as an interlocutor in their work.
We are not looking for the passive use of a generative model;
we are interested in understanding how perception shifts when the machine actively participates in the creative process.
Thematic areas
Music is one of the fields where the integration of AI raises the most direct questions about creative authorship:
a machine can imitate a style or complete a score but can it truly feel what it composes?
This section welcomes sound works, including tracks, sets, installations or experimental practices, in which the dialogue between artist and algorithm is not mediated but becomes an integral part of the listening experience.
We are looking for projects that explore this tension, where AI is not merely a performer but an element that redefines the very meaning of composition.
If music questions feeling, design shifts the focus to structure.
It is the field where AI enters the design process not as an end but as a method, generating variations, simulating scenarios or building adaptive systems.
How does the way we design change when the algorithm participates in the research process?
We welcome works in product, interaction or spatial design that thoughtfully reflect on the impact of AI on contemporary form and function.
From the function of design we move to the construction of pure vision, where the screen has become our prevailing landscape.
The work is the reflection of an intention rooted in the author’s lived experience rather than the result of calculation.
What part of our inner life are we offering to the imagination we are training?
We are looking for works, including images, videos and animations, that can infuse soul and story into pixels and frames that would otherwise remain cold algorithmic projections.
AI does not end in the two dimensional space of the screen; it inhabits physical environments, social relationships and infrastructures.
This category is dedicated to hybrid projects and site specific installations.
The question shifts to the nature of the work in public and private space: is it possible to distinguish artistic intention from the technological infrastructure that enables it?
We are looking for works that integrate the use of AI within installation and spatial contexts, where technology is capable of reconfiguring the relationship between body, environment and viewer.

The selection of the works to be exhibited will be managed by the four curators.
The winners will be determined by a jury composed of the four curators and three senior experts.
The opening will feature the exhibition of the selected works.

Participation is allowed in only one category.
Works must be created using AI tools.
Participation is free.
Participation is not permitted to relatives and collaborators of the members of the jury and the organization who will automatically exclude any applications that do not meet the aforementioned requirements.
